Critically, works at Towcester Road/ Gas Street roundabout and Round Spinney, Northampton start Sept 15.

Schemes include:
o Victoria Promenade/Bedford Road – due for completion 12th September
o A43 Round Spinney Roundabout (phase 1) – Starts September 2014 > Spring 2015 extend the capacity and modernise traffic signals at the roundabout.
o Towcester Road/Gas Street roundabout near Waterside Enterprise Zone - Starting on Monday 15th September this £6.8 million scheme will enable development in the 104 hectare Northampton Waterside Enterprise Zone by increasing the capacity of the congested southern Inner Ring Road and by improving access to the site. Completion is scheduled for September 2015.
o Spencer Bridge Road - As vehicles take alternative routes because of the roadworks, traffic signal phasing will be altered on this road to make sure the traffic flows smoothly.
o St Gregory’s roundabout -Traffic signals will be installed on this roundabout on the A43 Lumbertubs Way to improve safety. Work is expected to take about three months.
o Abington Street - This Northampton Borough Council scheme to introduce vehicles into Abington Street between St Giles Terrace and Wellington Street is due for completion in November
o Guildhall Road – Work is planned to start on Monday 15th September. This project, funded by Northampton Borough Council, will see the pavements widened and the road narrowed in Guildhall Road to enhance the appearance of this section of the town’s Cultural Quarter. The work will be taking place seven days a week and will be completed by the end of November. The Road will be CLOSED from September to November
